Norwood Hospital and Steward Medical Group (SMG) Welcome Three Physicians to the Region

Foxboro SMG offices welcome internal medicine and endocrinology specialists

Norwood, MA –  Norwood Hospital and Steward Medical Group (SMG) are welcoming three physicians to the greater Norwood community in January 2021. While Norwood Hospital remains closed due to previous flooding, community-based primary care and specialty practices have remained open. To continue serving the needs of our community, we have welcomed three physicians to our Foxboro SMG practices.

Donald Gedarovich, MD, Internal Medicine
Dr. Gedarovich is an established private primary care physician in Walpole who, in January 2021, will join Steward Medical Group and our SMG Primary Care at Chestnut Green practice in Foxboro. He will be working alongside James Macek, MD and Laurie Garabedian, DO. Dr. Gedarovich’s background includes:

•    Board Certification: Internal Medicine
•    Residency: Boston City Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts
•    Medical School: University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, San Francisco, California
•    Area of Special Interest: Primary care, adult medicine and community medicine

Niel K. Gandhi, MD, Family Medicine
Dr. Gandhi will join the SMG Foxboro Family and Internal Medicine practice in January 2021 from Thundermist Health Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island where he served as a family medicine physician. He is joining the team at SMG Foxboro Family and Internal Medicine and will care for patients alongside Irene Belsky, MD, Jugta Khuman, MD, Patricia Kearney, MD, Richard Popovic, MD, Colleen Ammidown, NP and Joanne Swenson, NP. Dr. Gandhi’s background includes:

•    Board Certification: Family Medicine Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine
•    Fellowship and Residency: Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, Maine
•    Medical School: Saba University, School of Medicine, Saba, Dutch Caribbean
•    Area of Special Interest: Minor procedures, sports medicine, hospice and palliative care, full spectrum care, including pediatrics
•    Language in Addition to English: Norwegian, Gujarati, Hindi

Amin Sabet, MD, Endocrinology and Metabolism
Dr. Sabet is a noted local endocrinologist, joining SMG Foxboro Endocrinology from Signature Healthcare. He is joining the Endocrinology practice which is co-located in Foxboro with the SMG Foxboro Family and Internal Medicine team. Dr. Sabet’s background includes:
•    Board Certification: Endocrinology and Metabolism Obesity Medicine Internal Medicine
•    Fellowship and Residency: Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland
•    Medical School: Howard University College of Medicine, Washington, DC
