In collaboration with MassGeneral for Children, our Emergency Department is the only facility in the region to provide a full range of infant, child, and adolescent acute care from emergency services to pediatric follow-up as well as a section of the Emergency Department waiting area designated to our young patients.
Each child and family who come to our emergency department will receive care from a multidisciplinary team of pediatric providers, nurses, support staff and more. Children are cared for in a private wing of the Emergency Department, which is staffed by MassGeneral for Children physicians and support staff. In the event it is needed, we can admit and care for patients in Norwood Hospital Pediatric Inpatient Unit. Our pediatric specialists are available 24/7 for specialty consultation when necessary.
