31 Norwood Hospital Physicians named to Boston Magazine “Top Doctors” List

Norwood, MA – December 4, 2017 –More than two dozen Norwood Hospital physicians have been named Top Doctors in the region by Boston Magazine for 2017. Thirty-one physicians affiliated with Norwood Hospital were selected for the prestigious listing, the most from Norwood Hospital to make the list in one year.

Among the physicians selected by Boston Magazine were 6 surgeons, 3 obstetricians/gynecologists, 3 orthopedic surgeons, 2 cardiologists and 3 primary care physicians. Those physicians honored include:
George Vaida, Waqar Cheema, Nicholas Ruocco, Paul Dagincourt, Brian Hinnebusch, James Macek, Richard Popovic, Jinsil Sung, Savitha Gowda, D. Bora Hazar, Salvatore Napoli, Young Kim, Kevin Loughlin, John Al-Jamal, June Chun, Alice Shen, Susan Chabot, Joseph Sirois, Jonathan Caine, Arthur Giuliano, Christopher Giuliano, Robert Henry, Leah Spitzer, Norman Tabroff, Philip Weinstein, John Frasca, Peter Lydon, Kevin McCarthy, William Nannery, Timothy Anderson and Michael Curran.

Drs. Lydon and Macek are recognized for the 4th consecutive year. Drs. Ruocco and Hazar had also been honored last year and are among several physicians who have made the list multiple times.

The lists, which are part of the magazine’s December 2017 issues, are developed in partnership with Castle Connelly Medical Ltd, a health care research company. The review of the area’s best physicians includes doctors in more than 50 specialty areas. According to Castle Connelly, their research methodology is designed to identify doctors that will speed patients' healing, minimize pain and discomfort, shorten recovery periods and enhance and lengthen lives - in other words, achieve the best possible health outcomes.
