New Urgent Care Center Open Seven Days a Week in Norwood

Norwood Hospital, a part of the Steward Health Care System (Steward), and Health Express, a growing urgent care provider in Massachusetts, announced the opening of Health Express with Norwood Hospital at 1345 Boston Providence Highway (Rt. 1 South) in Norwood. Steward now has the largest integrated network of urgent care providers in Massachusetts with 24 affiliated urgent care locations to be opened within the next year. The new urgent care center in Norwood is open seven days a week with evening and weekend hours convenient for patients and families. The hours are Monday-Friday, 9am – 8pm; Saturday and Sunday, 10am – 4pm.

If an urgent medical need arises, a patient’s primary care physician (PCP) may not have an available appointment or be open after hours or during the weekend. Health Express with Norwood Hospital is a convenient extension of a patient’s PCP’s office. Patients can now visit Health Express with Norwood Hospital for treatment of common illnesses (e.g., cold, flu, strep throat, etc.), cuts, fractures and other non-life threatening injuries. No appointment or referral is necessary and the insurance co-pay is comparable to an office visit with a PCP. All patients visiting Health Express with Norwood Hospital are seen by board-certified emergency room physicians employed by the Steward Medical Group.
