NorwoodServices & Clinical CentersOrthopedics

Norwood Hospital's board-certified orthopedic surgeons are experienced in diagnosing and treating problems of the musculoskeletal system, including soft tissue and bone problems and injuries such as fractures, dislocations, joint replacement and disk problems. We also provide elective management, both surgical and non-surgical, of musculoskeletal disease. On-site MRI and CT-scanning imaging services assist in diagnosis and treatment.

Surgical offerings include:

  • Acute fracture care
  • Treatment of traumatic injuries to tendon, ligament and cartilage structures
  • Total hip and knee replacement
  • Partial knee replacement, using the innovative, minimally-invasive, robotic-assisted MAKOplasty treatment option
  • Total hip replacement also using robotic-assisted MAKOplasty
  • Arthroscopic care of knee, shoulder, ankle, and elbow injury and disease

Orthopedic surgeons have the benefit of the hospital’s rehabilitation services department to complement the services they provide. Related services include inpatient and outpatient physical therapy and occupational therapy. Physicians and therapists work together to ensure that patients receive comprehensive orthopedic services.
