NorwoodPatient and Visitor Information

Welcome to Norwood Hospital

Visiting Hours

We encourage visitors for emotional support and recovery. To provide a restful and safe environment, we ask that all visitors are aware of the following:

  • At times, it may be appropriate to limit the number of visitors or the length of the visit to ensure all patients' privacy and rest. We recognize that there are situations when, because of a patient's illness or condition, extended visitation is appropriate. Please speak with a nurse if you have any questions.
  • Be considerate of other patients by keeping noise to a minimum.
  • Do not visit if you have a cold, sore throat or any contagious disease.
  • Observe "No Visiting" and precaution signs before entering a room.
  • Do not smoke. Smoking is not allowed in the hospital
  • Leave the room during tests or treatments if asked.

Intensive Care Unit Visitation: For our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), we ask that visitors be limited to immediate family, over age 13. The patient’s nurse will guide length of visit. Before entering the ICU, please pick up the phone located outside the ICU entrance and let the staff know you are here to visit.
