A Prayer for Healing

Loving God,
You invite all who are burdened to come to you.
Allow your hand to heal me.
Fill my soul with your compassion for others.
Touch my heart with your courage and infinite love for all.
Touch my mind with your wisdom, and may my mouth always proclaim your praise.
Teach me to reach out to you in my need and help me to lead others to you.
Amen.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd;
There is nothing I shall want.
In green pastures you let me graze;
To safe waters you lead me;
You restore my strength.
You guide me along the right path for the sake of your name.
Even when I walk through a dark valley, I fear no harm, for you
are at my side; your rod and staff give me courage.
You set a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of
The Lord forever.

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.

Prayer for Care Givers

Give to my eyes light to see those in need.
Give to my mind knowledge and wisdom.
Give to my hands skill and tenderness.
Give to my ears the ability to listen.
Give to me Lord strength for this selfless service and enable me to bring joy to the lives of those I serve. –Author unknown

Psalm 23 -- A Psalm of David

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

Psalm 116: 1-4, 7-9
I love the LORD, for He heard my voice;
He heard my cry for mercy.
Because he turned his ear to me,
I will call on him as long as I live.
The cords of death entangled me,
the anguish of the grave came upon me;
I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.
Then I called on the name of the LORD :
"O LORD, save me!"
Be at rest once more, O my soul,
for the LORD has been good to you.
For you, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling,
That I may walk before the LORD
in the land of the living.
  Psalm 121 – A Song of Ascents I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
He who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, He who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
The sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm—
He will watch over your life;
The LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

    Psalm 126: 5-6 – A Song of Ascents Those who sow in tears
will reap with songs of joy.
He who goes out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with him.

Psalm 147: 1-5 Praise the LORD.
How good it is to sing praises to our God,
how pleasant and fitting to praise him!
The LORD builds up Jerusalem;
he gathers the exiles of Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of the stars
and calls them each by name.
Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
his understanding has no limit.
.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not
give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be
troubled and do not be afraid.
Isaiah 40: 28-31 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
  Ezekiel 34: 11-16 – The Restoration of Israel
For thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I Myself will search
for My sheep and seek them out.
"As a shepherd cares for his herd in the day when he is
among his scattered sheep, so I will care for My sheep
and will deliver them from all the places to which they
were scattered on a cloudy and gloomy day.
"I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them
from the countries and bring them to their own land;
and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the
streams, and in all the inhabited places of the land.
"I will feed them in a good pasture, and their grazing
ground will be on the mountain heights of Israel.
There they will lie down on good grazing ground and
feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.
"I will feed My flock and I will lead them to rest," declares the Lord GOD.
"I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the
broken and strengthen the sick; but the fat and the strong I
will destroy. I will feed them with judgment.

Isaiah 41: 4- 10 The Helper of Israel
Who has done this and carried it through,
calling forth the generations from the beginning?
I, the LORD -with the first of them
and with the last—I am he."
The islands have seen it and fear;
the ends of the earth tremble.
They approach and come forward;
each helps the other
and says to his brother, "Be strong!"
The craftsman encourages the goldsmith,
and he who smooths with the hammer
spurs on him who strikes the anvil.
He says of the welding, "It is good."
He nails down the idol so it will not topple.
"But you, O Israel, my servant,
Jacob, whom I have chosen,
you descendants of Abraham my friend,
I took you from the ends of the earth,
from its farthest corners I called you.
I said, 'You are my servant';
I have chosen you and have not rejected you.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Lamentations 3: 19-24 -- Hope of Relief in God's Mercy Remember my affliction and my wandering, the wormwood and bitterness.
Surely my soul remembers
And is bowed down within me.
This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have hope.
The LORD'S loving kindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
"The LORD is my portion," says my soul,
"Therefore I have hope in Him."
  Peter 1: 3-7 -- Praise to God for a Living Hope

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living
hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil
or fade—kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded
by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready
to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice,
though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief
in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith—of
greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined
by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise,
glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

    Romans 8:31-35, 37 -- More Than Conquerors

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for
us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his
own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also,
along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will
bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?
It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus,
who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at
the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
