800 Washington Street, Norwood, MA 02062 781-769-4000
The Pre-Admission Testing Department at Norwood Hospital prepares patients for elective surgery. Pre-admission testing (also called pre-test) is scheduled through your surgeon’s office.
At the time of your pre-test appointment, you will first register at the hospital's Admitting desk in the Draper Lobby. It is important that you bring your completed preoperative patient questionnaire that your surgeon's office gave you. During your appointment, you will complete any necessary clinical testing, such as blood work, urine test, X-rays or EKG. You will also meet with a nurse and a member of the anesthesia team.
Appointments take approximately one hour with day and evening appointments available. If pre-admission testing is not necessary, nursing staff will make every effort to conduct a phone interview prior to your scheduled surgery. For questions or additional information, you may contact Pre-Admission Testing at 781-278-6750.
